My first car was a 1977 Rabbit. I bought it for 50 bucks in 1989 with the engine sitting in a cardboard box in the backseat. I had it painted for $100. I was absolutely in love with that car until someone ran me off the road and totalled it. I've had many other Volkswagens since - I counted 12. Numerous Rabbits, a Diesel one I took from Kansas to California, an 84 GTi, two Cabrios and a couple of Passats. This is my 1995 Mk3. I've been driving it for 12 years now and the odometer just passed 134 thousand miles. I replaced the exhaust at 120K miles in 2004 and put a K&N filter when I first got it. The car has been begging to be modified for years and for the most part I've long ignored it. After all it's just a mean of transportation. But then again... I figured (read I justified), if I'm gonna keep an old car, I'm going to drive an old car I like. So my philosophy about tuning the car has been: "when it breaks, fix it with the best part possible." Budget wise, it may take months to save and buy the right part, but in the end it's all worth it.

Biography:
The brochure laying on the table of the school library said "Spend One Year in the United States of America." That was in France in 1987. After graduating High School and College with a degree in business management from Washburn University in Topeka, I married my wife and became a US citizen in 2000. Why Volkswagen car sales? I love those cars!
I didn't always help people buy cars. Being bilingual in French and Spanish I started out doing International Customer Service, then Business Analysis and later IT Project Management. I also like designing websites and am writing a movie script that one day I'll finish (only five years in the making). VWs have always been a passion of mine and so in May of '06 I decided to try making a living with it.
